Meet Fall River Forever Paws Pet of the Week Lenore!

Just LOOK at her permanent puppy face! The EARS! The SMILE!

If this babe doesn’t give you VIOLENT cute aggression, then we can’t help you. Similarly, if you don’t immediately want to start singing love songs to her because she’s got the face of an angel, then that’s a HUGE you problem. Because Lenore is not the problem. Lenore is NEVER the problem.

Lenore is about two years old and she’s…a bit of a mystery. Forever Paws thinks she’s a spaniel/dachshund mix because she’s got the ears of Lady from Lady and the Tramp but also these itty-bitty Vienna sausage legs. It’s kind of ridiculous. She weighs a little over 20lbs so enough not to get blown away by the breeze but also the perfect size for you to carry around like a baby…which she loves.

She’s an absolute DREAM on a leash. Not even exaggerating. She’s gentle, easygoing, and likes to putter around like she’s five times her actual age and she’s meandering through her vegetable garden. She’s more of a wanderer than a walker and likes to sniff and investigate everything so make sure you’re not in a hurry because you’re getting nowhere fast with this girl. You’re gonna stop and smell the roses with her whether you like it or not. Don’t be fooled though, she absolutely CAN and WILL get the zoomies so don’t mistake her for a couch potato! She’s still a young dog with tons of energy to burn and is SUPER playful, with or without toys.

Lenore does think that hands are toys and will nibble on/mouth at your hands. Just something to keep in mind. She also came to Forever Paws with one heck of an ear infection in both ears so she’s a bit sensitive about having her ears touched at this time.

Lenore has a healthy respect for cats, especially once they start getting amped up, so they have no concerns about her sharing a home with cats. She’s great with other dogs as well. Forever Paws would prefer kids 10+ but would be okay with younger (~8yo) if they’ve been around dogs before and the parents are dog-savvy.
