Haru is just under ten years old, weighs just over 12lbs, and he’s a shih tzu/yorkie mix. He’ll require consistent grooming and coat maintenance but he’s a very, very good boy that has all of the patience in the world for being groomed. He’s the epitome of “a pleasure to have in class” for a groomer.

If you’re looking for a little guy that will just putter around with you, take naps on the couch, and snooze in the sunshine, Haru is your guy. He’s easy on a leash, has little legs, and doesn’t go very fast. He’s perfectly happy to pal around right by your side and socialize with humans and animals alike. He previously lived with another dog and with cats and would do well with both…or neither! He’s the kind of dog that would be happy with a friend or be just fine spending his days napping and lounging on his own.

If you’ve ever wanted to sit on your front porch in a rocking chair while it rains, sipping lemonade and saying something like, “ah, we needed this” with a companion…Haru will be the perfect companion.

He’s mildly interested in plush toys and does enjoy his walks and his time outside. He’s all about people and loves getting loved up on. Kids 10+ would be best just because Forever Paws has no idea if he’s ever been around children.
