Fall River Forever Paws Daenerys Stormborn isn’t coming from the best situation, but you can help change that!

Meet Fall River Forever Paws Pet of the Week Daenerys Stormborn!

Quite the opposite of her name, this Daenerys is a shy girl without a whole lot of confidence. She’s about eighteen months old and weighs around 80lbs so she’s a big lady…but also a big baby.

A sweet girl that doesn’t take ALL that long to warm up (especially if you have a treat or snack in hand), she needs an experienced owner who can help her build up some of that confidence that we KNOW is there…deep down. She didn’t come from the best situation so it’s understandable why she’s wary and unsure of the world…but there’s a socialite in there just waiting to come out! FP can see it in the way she gets the excited zoomies when she’s on her walks or the way she listens to her commands (when she wants to) or the way she jumps up on you to beg to be held like the big 80lb baby she is. She gets offended if you walk by without saying hello and will whine until you give her the attention she deserves.

Daenerys did previously live with another dog and they got along well but she is understandably unsure about other dogs. She seems to do better with dogs that don’t come on super strong. Forever Paws would not place her with cats at this time or with kids under 12yo. They have limited (if any) history on her and being such a nervous (and big) girl, they want her to go to a home with as few stressors as possible.

With some consistent training, Daenerys will absolutely bloom, especially if you have some confidence that she can borrow while she works on building her own! She’s smart enough to know her commands and does listen most of the time but can be stubborn…but she is very, very food motivated so that’s easily fixed.

Breed experience preferred. You must own your own home or live in a home owned by a family member.
