Fall River firefighters extinguished an evening fire on Thursday.

A call came into dispatch just before 7:30 p.m. for a fire on the second floor of 332 Eastern Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews encountered flames and smoke in the 6-family residential structure that also houses chiropractic offices.

The Department had the fire under control in less than 15 minutes.

Fall River Police had the road blocked off while firefighters battled the flames.

A fire investigator was called to the scene.

There was a report of missing cats and at least one was located by a firefighter.

A witness stated that no one was home, and no one was hurt, but that has not been confirmed by officials.
