Fall River firefighters extinguish exterior blaze at multi-family home

Fall River firefighters made quick work of a weekend blaze.

According to scanner transmissions, just after 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, multiple calls came into dispatch for an exterior fire at 552 Alden Street.

Crews arrived to find a fire in the area of the deck/stairs outside of the multi-family home.

The flames were quickly extinguished and was limited to the exterior.

An arson investigator was called to the scene.

Tiverton Fire was initially called for station coverage, but the request was cancelled.
