Fall River firefighters made quick work of a fire on Monday afternoon.

At just after 4:00 p.m. a call came in for fire showing at 46 Hambly Street, a multi-family home.

Upon arrival, crews discovered heavy smoke and flames coming out of an enclosed second-floor porch roof.

Hambly was blocked off at Slade Street while the department battled the blaze.

Within about 20 minutes the fire was under control.

All residents were accounted for but are now displaced.

The fire is under investigation.
