Fall River Firefighters among those participating in Teal Pumpkin Project across the country for Halloween
This year all 6 fire stations in Fall River, sponsored by the IAFF L-1314 Fall River Firefighters, will be taking part in the Teal Pumpkin Project.
According to the Union, one in thirteen children has a food allergy that they must deal with on a daily basis.
Halloween can be a particularly difficult time to navigate for food allergic children and their parents.
FARE’s Teal Pumpkin Project was created to promote a safer, happier Halloween for all kids. You simply register your home or business on the map, display a teal pumpkin, and have non-food treats available. This provides inclusion for trick-or-treaters with food allergies, intolerances or other conditions.
