Firefighters extinguished a fire and made a rescue at a home on Monday morning.
At approximately 8:45 a.m. a call came in for a fire at a single-family home at 1841 Highland Avenue.
Upon arrival, crews found a working fire at the rear of the home.
In addition to FRFD, police and EMS also responded to the scene.
According to Fall River EMS, firefighters pulled out 1 dog from the top floor and was treated by EMS on scene.
In approximately 15 minutes, firefighters had the blaze under control.
According to the Fall River Firefighter Union, the fire displaced 2 adults and 1 teenager. Sadly, a dog was lost in the fire.
A fire investigator, building inspector, Red Cross, and the Water Department were called to the scene.
The fire appeared to start in the area of the kitchen, however, the incident is still under investigation.
