Fall River Fire Department responds to chimney collapse with injury

The Fall River Fire Department responded to a call on Wednesday evening where the result could have been much worse.

At just before 7:15 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a chimney collapse onto a house at 508 Third Street.

According to the Fall River Firefighter Union, members of Engine 4 and Car 3 responded to the full chimney collapse.

The building inspector was also called to the scene.

Thankfully, only a minor injury was reported.
