Fall River Fire Department extinguishes morning fire at city business

The Fall River Fire Department quickly extinguished flames at a city business on Saturday morning.

At just after 6:15 a.m., a call came into dispatch for smoke showing at Neto Insurance, 1470 Pleasant Street.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke and fire inside the front of the building.

Pleasant Street was shut down at Boutwell and Mason Streets.

Neto Insurance was closed at the time as they are normally closed on Saturday and Sunday. No word yet on if they will be able to open on Monday.
