Fall River Fire Department extinguishes evening fire at single-family home

The Fall River Fire Department made quick work of a fire that took place at a home.

At just before 8:30 p.m. a call came into dispatch for a fire at a single-family residence at 166 Hudson Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the basement.

The fire was out within minutes.

A fire investigator and building inspector were called to the scene.
