Fall River Fire Department extinguishes early morning fire at city business

The Fall River Fire Department made quick work of a fire at a city business on Sunday morning.

At approximately 3:45 a.m., Fall River Firefighters responded to a working fire at 838 Pleasant Street.

According to the Fall River Firefighter Union, flames were climbing the exterior of the building when crews arrived, but thanks to a fast and aggressive attack, the fire was quickly contained before it could spread inside.

The building is located on the side of Price Rite and contains an auto seller/repair shop.

No word yet on what caused the blaze.
