Fall River Fire Department extinguishes early morning blaze at multi-family home

The Fall River Fire Department extinguished an early morning fire at a multi-family home on Thursday.

According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 1:00 a.m. a call came into dispatch for a possible fire in the walls at 38 15th Street.

Fall River Police and fire crews arrived on scene to find a fire in the attic from the ceiling on the third floor of the three-story residential structure.

A fire investigator, utilities, and the building inspector were called to the scene.

The fire was knocked down in about a half hour with firefighters opening walls.

It did not appear that anyone was injured.
