Fall River Fire Department extinguishes afternoon blaze at multi-family home, multiple pets rescued

The Fall River Fire Department responded to a Wednesday afternoon fire at a 3-family home.

At approximately 3:00 p.m. a call came into dispatch for smoke showing from the third floor of 54 Vale Street.

Upon arrival, crews encountered dark smoke and heavy fire on the third floor.

Firefighters quickly had the fire contained and minutes later had it knocked down.

Multiple pets were rescued from the building.

Personnel are still currently on scene.
