Fall River Fire Department battles afternoon fire at 3 story multi-family home

The Fall River Fire Department responded to a fire at a multi-family home on Sunday afternoon.

According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a call came into dispatch for 106 Wilbur Street.

Upon arrival, crews encountered smoke coming from the eaves of the structure.

Occupants on the 3rd floor had already escaped from the building.

A fire investigator and building inspector were called to the scene.

As of 3:30 p.m., firefighters were still on scene, however, some crews had already been released.
