Fall River EMS, Fire, Police, respond to collision after pedestrian suffers serious injuries

Several Fall River crews responded Saturday morning to a collision with injuries.

Scanner transmissions revealed that at just past 7:45 a.m., a call came into dispatch for a vehicle versus a pedestrian in the area of Work Out World at 18 Pocasset Street with a man bleeding severely from the head.

According to Fall River EMS, Squad 12 and Medic 4 were dispatched with Fall River Fire Engine 2 and the Fall River Police Department.

Due to the nature of the injuries of 1 of the patients, Medic 4 transported 1 patient to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center with serious injuries.

Pocasset Street has been shut down from Broadway to South Main Street for accident reconstruction.
