Fall River Police are investigating an alleged assault.
On Saturday October 13th, at approximately 6pm, Uniformed Officers of the Fall River Police Department responded to an assault complaint in the area of Rueben Street. On arrival, Officer Derek Oagles spoke to a 64-year-old female city resident who stated she confronted a male for doing drugs. The male became agitated and shoved her back causing her to fall and strike her head on the ground.
An ambulance was requested and, on arrival, transported the Victim to a local hospital. At the hospital, after the victim received treatment, Officer Oagles asked for more details about the attack. The victim described her attacker as a black male, approximately 6 foot tall. The victim added that while on the ground, the male attempted to strangle her. When questioned for a better description of her attacker, the victim became uncooperative and refused to answer any more questions.
