Fall River dangerousness hearing scheduled after two dogs attack another dog
A dangerousness hearing has been scheduled at the Fall River Police Department after two dogs reportedly attacked another dog.
According to Captain Barden Castro, on September 11th, Animal Control responded to a multi-family residence in the 400 block of Fourth Street in regard to a Pit Bull which had attacked a smaller white dog.
Upon arrival and after an investigation, it was learned that residents of the home let their dogs outside, without realizing there was already a dog in the yard.
It was later determined that two Pit Bulls were involved in an attack on a Shih Tzu. Only one of the dogs, however, is listed on the dangerousness hearing docket.
From veterinarian reports, it did not appear that any of the bites from the two Pit Bulls reached the organs of the Shih Tzu or had to be sutured up.
The dangerousness hearing is scheduled for October 4th.
