Fall River community block party with vendors and free filled backpacks to conclude with illumination of famous Nite Owl

Community members are invited to a free Fall River community Block Party taking place on Choat Street and Eastern Avenue, right around the Nite Owl.

The event will take place on Sunday August 23rd at 4:00 p.m.

Organizers are still welcoming vendors, and there is no fee to participate. Vendors who need electricity must bring their own generator. If a generator is used under a tent, the tent cannot be larger than 10×10.

The event will feature a variety of activities and local vendors, including:

• Bounce House
• DJ
• The Beaded Cottage
• M&D Crafty Corner
• Six 27 Creations
• Soco Art Gallery
• And more still being added

In a special highlight for families, more than 50 backpacks filled with school supplies will be given away to children while supplies last. Parents are encouraged to bring their kids.

Brian and the team at the Nite Owl will be serving pizza and Del’s Lemonade throughout the evening.

The night will wrap up with a special moment at 8:00 p.m., when the iconic Nite Owl is illuminated.

Parking will be available at South Coast Funeral Home for those attending.
