A local musician has been on a roller coaster ride after her guitar was stolen. Thanks to a Fall River business, the story has a happy ending.

According to a social media post, Casey Ruth Little of Bristol RI loaded her guitar Saturday into the trunk of her car at home, stopped at CVS for batteries, drove to Westport for a gig, opened up her trunk to unload it, and it was gone.

“I have looked everywhere. If you see/hear of anyone trying to sell a bright red Fender acoustic guitar, please let me know!! It is my baby!!! Thank you!”

“FYI: I have also filed a police report. It was either when I stopped at CVS in Bristol, RI, or when I got to the gig at the Whites of Westport in Mass, where I got out of my car for a few minutes to look for the band entrance. I’m attaching a pic of the guitar!! It’s in a black case with cords/capos/tuner!”

Upon hearing of Casey’s unfortunate incident through Fall River’s Christopher’s Restaurant, TJs Music in Fall River came to her rescue. Changing a terrible night into a fantastic morning.

“Wow. I am in absolute awe of the sheer selflessness that has been shown to me by my community in just 12 hours. I went to bed with that awful feeling in your chest when you lose something you so badly want to be found, and I woke up with a new guitar. TJ’S Music is where I go for all of my gear, or if I’m having a tough day and just want to play some cool guitars/talk to some kind people who love what I love. I got this Fender from them back in May, and I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that they just ordered me a replacement, free of charge. At the end of all of my performances and livestreams, I tell the audience to get home safe and BE KIND to each other, because the world needs it. Today, I was shown the compassion that I try so hard to exude in everything I do. Thank you, thank you, thank you – to everyone who shared this post or commented or messaged me privately, because now there’s a guitar on its way to RI that I wasn’t going to be able to afford on my own. Thank you to TJ’s and thank you to my dad Patrick Little for getting me out of bed and making sure that was the first thing I saw. THANK YOU!”

The initial guitar is still missing.

Little performs indie folk/pop covers and originals and will be performing at the Borealis Coffee Company at 500 Wood Street in Bristol, RI on November 29th at 7:00 p.m.

Great job TJs and good luck on your music career Casey!
