Canned Heat Craft Beer Company is hoping to open as early as the beginning of May if all goes well.
The beer company, located at 52 Ferry Street in Fall River, will manufacture beer, can it, and distribute it. They will also have tasting hours for fans of craft beer. Work has already begun at the location.
Canned Heat plans to be open to the public Thursday to Sunday for pouring. Customers would pay per pouring. Wednesday the Fall River Licensing Board gave provisional approval for the pouring permit which will allow the execution of the pouring.
Manager Miles Wilson plans to also serve cold food at a raw bar at the location.
The venue will also be available for fundraisers and will have a 500 square foot patio space that will be overlooking the Braga Bridge.
The former Northeast Product building is owned by Michael Lund who owns the Borden Light Marina.
