Fall River area students from Diman show strong showing in national business competitions in Chicago
FALL RIVER/SOMERSET/SWANSEA/WESTPORT – Diman students recently had a strong showing on a national stage.
According to the school, 26 Diman students attended the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois from May 10th to the 14th.
Business Professionals of America is a career and technical student organization for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, office administration, health administration and other related career fields.
Students got an opportunity to compete with the best business students in the nation, and several Diman students placed high in their competitions.
Phoenix Bennet placed 2nd nationally in Medical Coding. .Lylah Thibeault placed 5th in Fundamentals of Web Design. Finally, The Visual Design Team of Lilly Carneiro and Jade Ferreira placed 7th nationally.
In addition, several students achieved a certification through Certiport. Students Lylah Thibeault and Jeffrey Portela received the IT Specialist – HTML and CSS certification. Austin Fonseca earned the Microsoft Office Specialist Excel 2019 Associate certification.
