Fall River area mother looking for missing priceless gift gets happy ending
A local mother who was looking for the public’s help after a priceless gift for her daughter disappeared has received her happy ending.
Jessica Steinkamp of Swansea had previously thought a special book had been donated.
“I am desperate!!!! I had the Dr. Suess book “Oh the Places You’ll Go”. It was a memory book for my daughter that her teachers have written in. This year while it was at the school, someone accidentally donated it to the free library because it had writing in it. Hoping someone got it from the free library box that may have it. It was either placed in Swansea or at Somerset library. Please help if you can.”
Jessica told Fall River Reporter at the time that the book was left at Brown School in Swansea for signatures, and it was left in the office but accidently got put in a box of book donations and was donated at one of the little free libraries.
“It’s a book that I have teachers sign every year to give to her at graduation.”
It turns out, however, that the book was never donated and Steinkamp couldn’t be happier.
“THE BOOK HAS BEEN FOUND!!!! It was found at (daughter’s) school. It was not donated yet!!!! So thankful!!!!”
It is great to see a positive ending to what started out as a disheartening story.
