Fall River and Quincy residents among those arrested in months long drug trafficking investigation

A multi-agency investigation spanning three months and four Massachusetts counties has resulted in five arrests and the seizure of four firearms, bundles totaling more than $20,000, and quantities of Fentanyl, crack cocaine, and heroin this week, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey.

“Law enforcement developed information earlier this year that an address on Dysart Street in the city of Quincy was one location in a drug distribution organization involving several communities,” District Attorney Morrissey said. “State Police detectives assigned to my office began working with detectives from Quincy Drug Control Unit, other Massachusetts State Police units, and investigators from Randolph, Boston and Hull police.”

The initial Dysart Street information and observation of that address led detectives to locations on Bay Street in Hull, Frederick Street in Fall River, Washington Street in Jamaica Plain, and Avalon Drive in Randolph.

Two pistols, a quantity of crack cocaine, and US Currency were secured at the Randolph location. One shotgun, one miniature version of the AR-15 rifle (JR-15), crack cocaine and US currency were secured in Fall River. Crack cocaine and US currency were secured at the location in Jamaica Plain. Crack cocaine, and several pills yet to be definitively identified were secured at the Dysart Street, Quincy location.

Taken into custody on warrants obtained during the investigation were:

Johnell Gilmore-Monteiro, 29, of Fall River, who entered a plea of not guilty to possession of a firearm without an FID, possession with intent to distribute class A (Fentanyl), possession with intent to distribute class B substance (cocaine) and unlawful possession of ammunition. His bail was revoked on two open matters out of Dorchester District Court and held without bail on a probation surrender out of Quincy District Court. Commonwealth also requested $150,000 cash bail, the Court ordered $50,000 cash. He returns to Quincy District court May 31 for pre-trial conference and probation surrender hearing.

Michael Shepard, 44, of Hull, entered a plea of not guilty to possession of Class B, Possession of Class E, Possession of Class C, and Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law. His bail was revoked on another open matter and he was ordered held without bail until his June 2, 2022 pre-trial conference.

Roy Delong, 66, of Quincy, entered a plea of not guilty to Distribution of Class A substance (Fentanyl). He was released on personal recognizance and ordered to return on June 28, 2022 for pre-trial conference.

Elizabeth Goldrick, 27, of Quincy, entered a plea of not guilty to Conspiracy to violate the drug law. She is free on $250 cash bail and was ordered to return June 17, 2022. The court denied Assistant District Attorney Keith McCray’s motion to revoke her bail on two open Quincy district court matters.

Wilkins Torres-Colon, Washington Street, Jamaica Plain, was arraigned in West Roxbury District Court Friday.

Caitlyn Campbell, 39, of Quincy, entered a plea of not guilty to Conspiracy to Violate the Drug Law. The court imposed $2,500 cash bail and ordered her to return June 2 for pre-trial conference.

“An investigation this broad can only be successful with cooperation and resources,” District Attorney Morrissey said. “This operation involved the Massachusetts State Police STOP Team, Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, Gang unit, Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction and Enforcement Team (CINRET) South, the MSP detective units attached to the Attorney General and the Plymouth and Bristol District Attorneys’ Offices, as well as municipal police from Boston, Randolph, Quincy, and Hull.”

“This is not the end of this investigation,” District Attorney Morrissey said.
