According to Massachusetts State Police, in 2025, the CINRET South team initiated an investigation into an alleged drug trafficking operation that was distributing fentanyl and cocaine in several south coast communities.

On February 3rd, the CINRET South team executed search warrants at two residences in Fall River, one residence in New Bedford, five vehicles, and one landscaping trailer.

Members of the CINRET South unit seized seven firearms, including six handguns and one rifle, four high-capacity magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. In addition, approximately one kilogram of cocaine, three kilograms of fentanyl, and three kilograms of fentanyl were seized along with approximately $100,000 in cash.

Court records show that on Thursday, Green pled not guilty in Fall River Superior Court and is held without bail pending a decision on dangerousness. He has a pretrial hearing scheduled for June 5th.
