An individual accused of fatally shooting 18-year-old Colus Jamal Mills-Good in Fall River was arraigned Monday morning in Fall River Superior Court.

19-year-old Amannie Chiclana of Fall River pled not guilty to 1st-Degree Murder and Carrying a Firearm Without a License. He was held without bail due to the 1st-Degree Murder charge. Chiclana was indicted on the charges in June.

Three others have also been charged in relation to the incident.

Jadyn Ortiz, 19, of Fall River, Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel, 19, of Fall River and Giovanni Nunes, 18, of Fall River were previously charged with Accessory to Murder-After the Fact and were allegedly in the vehicle, an Acura, with Chiclana that approached Mills-Good.

Chiclana is accused of stepping out of the vehicle and shooting Mills-Good three times.

According to ABC6, Prosecutors say that when Ortiz was arrested at his apartment, police found cash and a 45-caliber handgun that was thrown out the window. The firearm is being tested to see if it matches the gun used in the fatal shooting.

Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office, Fall River Police, and Homicide Unit prosecutors are still actively investigating the homicide.  The investigation is being coordinated by Assistant District Attorney Jason Mohan.

Fall River Police responded to the area of Rock and Franklin Streets around 11:41 a.m. on Thursday, March 14th for reports of shots fired.  When they arrived, they located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  The victim, identified as Mills-Good, 18, was rushed to Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Chiclana’s next court appearance is scheduled for January of 2025 for a pre-trial hearing.
