Erica Scott-Pacheco reacts to City Council vote to temporarily remove Mayor Correia
LOCATION- FALL RIVER, MA Erica Scott-Pacheco, candidate for Mayor of Fall River, reacted to the news of the vote to remove Mayor Jasiel Correia II from office as mayor.
“The City Council made the right decision. We need a mayor who is 100% focused on leading our city and not fighting his own legal battles. I’m looking forward to Tuesday’s election and making my case to the voters that now is the time for accountable and transparent leadership. I’ve dedicated my career to building up this community as an advocate for low income families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities, and I’m ready to continue to do so. As Mayor, I’ll return respect and justice to City Hall.”
Scott-Pacheco, 35, is on the ballot as a candidate for mayor during the preliminary election upcoming on September 17th, 2019.
