Employee injured, police investigating, after car crashes through Massachusetts Starbucks
An employee was injured after a vehicle crashed through a Massachusetts Starbucks.
According to police, this evening, a vehicle travelling south on Route 1 struck a utility pole as it approached the intersection with Route 27 in Walpole. The vehicle lost control as it continued through the intersection and eventually left the roadway and struck a building that houses a Starbucks restaurant.
Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. As a result, Officers assigned to the Walpole Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit have been notified and are investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
One Starbucks employee, who was inside the restaurant at the time of the crash, was transported from the scene with minor injuries and the operator of the suspect vehicle was uninjured during the crash.
This incident remains under investigation. No other details were released.
