Empire Hyundai sponsoring 19th annual Borden Light Marina’s Charity Poker Run to Fall River; here are the details

Boat races are returning to Fall River this upcoming weekend that will extend into Rhode Island.

Empire Hyundai has been announced as a major donor/supporter of the 19th annual Borden Light Marina’s Charity Poker Run taking place this upcoming weekend and organized by the Lunds.

Powerboats will race in large groups at high speeds through the Bay. The race typically starts at the Braga Bridge in Fall River, then heads to East Providence Yacht Club to pick up the first Poker card before heading to Warwick, then Newport, then Bristol, ending in Fall River for the 5th and final card.

Schedule of events:

Friday, August 1st: 

6:00am-10:00am, WEEI Broadcasts LIVE from The Tipsy Seagull! Breakfast sandwiches served, bar opens at 8am featuring Tito’s Vodka Bloody Marys!

7:00pm-11:00pm: The Complaints @ The Tipsy Seagull 

Saturday, August 2nd: 

9am: Vendors, Raffles, 50/50, shirts for sale, dunk tank and more!

12:00pm: National Anthem @ The Tipsy Seagull 

12:30pm: START YOUR ENGINES 

12:45pm: Take off from underneath the Braga Bridge

2:00pm-6:00pm: Two Across @ The Tipsy Seagull

3:00pm: Boats begin to return to The Tipsy Seagull

7:00pm-11:00pm: Dr. Slick @ The Tipsy Seagull

All money will be donated to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and The Greg Hill Foundation.

The Greg Hill Foundation responds to immediate requests for assistance, to improve the lives of local families touched by tragedy.

In 2024 the Borden Light Marina Charity Poker Run was able to raise and donate $75,000 to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and The Greg Hill Foundation.
