Empire Hyundai helping to bring Borden Light Marina’s Tipsy Seagull Poker Run to Fall River
Boat races are returning to Fall River that will extend into Rhode Island.
Empire Hyundai has been announced as a major donor/supporter of the 18th annual Borden Light Marina’s Tipsy Seagull Poker Run taking place this upcoming weekend and organized by the Lunds.
Powerboats will race in large groups at high speeds through the Bay. The race typically starts at the Braga Bridge in Fall River, then heads to East Providence Yacht Club to pick up the first Poker card before heading to Warwick, then Newport, then Bristol, ending in Fall River for the 5th and final card.
Festivities on Saturday begin at the Borden Light Marina at 9:00 a.m. to take your shot at the dunk tank. Among the participants will be local State Rep. Carole Fiola. $5.00 for three throws. All money will be donated to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and The Greg Hill Foundation.
The Greg Hill Foundation responds to immediate requests for assistance, to improve the lives of local families touched by tragedy, through matching the charitable donation of Greg’s media audience. Meet Greg Hill on Friday, August 2nd at 6:00 a.m. WEEI will be LIVE at The Tipsy Seagull.
Last year the event raised over $60,000 with a goal this year of $70,000.
