Empire Hyundai helping to bring boat races to Fall River this weekend
Boat races are returning to Fall River this weekend that will extend into Rhode Island.
Empire Hyundai has been announced as a major donor/supporter of the 17th annual Borden Light Marina’s Tipsy Seagull Poker Run taking place this Saturday.
Powerboats will race in large groups at high speeds through the Bay. The race typically starts at the Braga Bridge in Fall River, then heads to East Providence Yacht Club to pick up the first Poker card before heading to Warwick, then Newport, then Bristol, ending in Fall River for the 5th and final card.
Festivities begin at the Borden Light Marina at 10:00 a.m. to take your shot at the new dunk tank including Borden Light Marina’s Commodore and Vice Commodore, Jay Hayes and Jay King, Channel 12 News Anchor, Patrick Little, and Eric Tavares from Quality Detailing. $5.00 for three throws. All money will be donated to Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island and Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
