East Bridgewater Police and Fire respond after child found unresponsive in swimming pool

Family members made a disturbing find on Friday.

According to police, at about 4:53 p.m., the East Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments responded to a home on Womponoag Way for a report of a child who had been found unresponsive in a swimming pool.

Family members removed the child from the pool and immediately began life-saving measures.

When first responders arrived, the child was conscious. East Bridgewater Fire paramedics assumed care and transported the child to a local hospital.
