Fall River – People Incorporated has announced that their Early Education Center will open in the fall.

The project broke ground in August of 2024 at the agency’s site at 145 Weaver Street in Fall River.

The future 21,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art center built on 4 acres will accommodate 212 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and it will provide modern early childhood rooms with ample space, innovative educational technology, and a blend of both indoor and outdoor learning settings. The $13.5 million facility will serve as a flagship location of the Agency’s Children’s Services Division. A Phase II addition would increase the capacity to 300 children.

According to Prominent Builders, the construction manager, the heavy timber entrance with two-story curtain wall glazing will open into a maze of classrooms and office space. The site will offer the children 2 large playgrounds with multiple surfaces.

People Incorporated announced in January of 2020 that they had purchased the land for the center on Weaver Street.

“Excited doesn’t begin to describe it,” said Megan Stirk, President & CEO of People Incorporated, just before last year’s upcoming groundbreaking. “So many of us have worked so hard to reach this point. Our children deserve this, and I can’t wait for them to see what a great education center they are going to have.”

People Incorporated has begun hiring for the center.
