This year’s graduation at Durfee High School will be done a little different this year when it comes to attendees.

According to Principal Matthew Desmarais, commencement will take place on Friday June 2nd at 7:00 p.m. at Mac Aldrich Field.

Officials are asking all graduates to arrive by 5:00 p.m. so senior portraits can be taken before the ceremony.

This year all graduates will receive 5 tickets for admission. The tickets will be exchanged at the door for a wristband. The wristband will get you into the seating area with an occupancy of 2,500. Gates will open for ticketed guests at 6:00 p.m. Once graduates are in place for the ceremony, non-ticketed guests will be allowed in. Those guests will be allowed to stand on the perimeter of the stadium but will not be allowed on the turf or in the stands.

Also, no high heels are allowed on the stadium turf.

As far as parking is concerned, you can park in the Ray Street parking lot and take a shuttle down the hill. You can also park in the north lot and enter through the gate at the concession stand. There will also be a south entrance.

For those who need handicap parking and other accommodations, there will be parking near the concession stand entrance located immediately adjacent to the baseball field.

The rain date is June 3rd with a time to be determined. A second rain date would be June 4th.
