Durfee High School Athletic Hall of Famer, former Fall River School Department teacher’s aide, passes away

A standout Fall River athlete who was also a member of the Fall River School Department has died.

According to an obituary, 70-year-old Cathleen E. (Farrell) Senra of Fall River, passed away on Thursday at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

“Cathy was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1973. She was a star varsity athlete in basketball, volleyball and softball. Cathy was inducted into the Durfee High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014. Cathleen then worked for the Fall River National Bank and then for Citizens-Union Saving Bank for several years. Senra also worked for the Fall River School Department as a secretary and teacher’s aide at the former Wiley School.”

Calling Hours for Mrs. Senra will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 4-7pm in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
