Durfee and Diman students combine for nearly 50 medals at Massachusetts SkillsUSA State Championships in Marlborough

FALL RIVER, MA – This past weekend, 58 Diman students and 43 Durfee students competed in the 2025 Massachusetts SkillsUSA State Championships in Marlborough, MA, showcasing their exceptional skills across various trades and industries.

Diman secured 36 medals, including 23 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals.

10 Durfee students placed with 6 heading to SkillsUSA Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia, this June!

Durfee winners & placements:

Cosmetology: 1st Place – Ava Pereira, 2nd Place – Emily Meneses

Esthetics: 1st Place – Casey Carvalho & Model

Nail Care: 1st Place Maranda Morais & Model

Natural Hair Care & Braiding: 1st Place – Avery Layne

Culinary Arts: 2nd Place – Victor Silva

Employment Application (Culinary): 2nd Place – Elijah Whipp

Chapter Display: 2nd Place – Built by CCL juniors Edgar Funez, Leonel Aragon, and Brayan Zaldivar
