Due to complaints from business owners, Fall River man arrested after police chase that injured officer
Fall River Police have announced an arrest after neighborhood complaints.
According to police, downtown business owners have raised concerns about late-night and early-morning trespassing. They’ve reported individuals using drugs and causing disturbances, which impacts both businesses and the community.
As part of the continued efforts to address these issues around downtown businesses, Officers Jen Deleon, Kwin Silva, and Christy Smith conducted a check this morning behind Alexandra’s Boutique and TA Restaurant. A group of unwanted individuals were located, and one of them, 34-year-old Vincent Valois, decided to add a little cardio to his morning with a brief foot chase.
Officer Silva successfully apprehended Valois. During the arrest, Officer Silva unfortunately sustained an injury.
PD stated that Valois is no stranger to law enforcement and has a lengthy criminal history. He was charged with Trespassing and had several outstanding warrants.
Valois is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday morning.
