One transported to trauma center after morning rollover crash in Fall River
Crews in Fall River responded to a serious collision during rush hour on Monday morning.
A call came into dispatch at approximately 8:00 a.m. for a rollover crash.
According to the Fall River Firefighter Union, members of Engine 12, Heavy Rescue 1 and Platform 1 responded to the motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of President Avenue and Davol Street.
Members had to use the rescue jacks, hydraulic cutters and hydraulic spreaders, also known as the “Jaws of Life,” to extricate one patient.
The victim was transferred to the care of FREMS, who treated the patient and brought the patient to Rhode Island Hospital.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
