Driver pinned under vehicle after late night rollover crash on Route 95
Crews responded to a morning highway crash in Massachusetts that left a driver pinned underneath the car.
This morning just after midnight Engine 5, Ladder 1, and NA-2 were dispatched to Route 95 Northbound just after Neponset Street in Norwood for an MVA-rollover, according to the Norwood Fire Department.
On arrival, crews found a single vehicle on its roof with one occupant partially ejected and pinned beneath the vehicle.
Firefighters utilized the jaws of life, cribbing and high-pressure air bags to lift the vehicle off the patient.
Less than 10 minutes later, the patient was extricated, and care was transferred to Norwood Firefighter/Paramedics.
The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
The crash is under investigation.
