Driver killed in late-night fiery crash in Rhode Island
A late-night crash on Tuesday in Rhode Island left one person dead.
According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 11:15 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a car versus tree in the area of 415 West Wrentham Road in Cumberland with the vehicle on fire and the driver trapped.
Police, Fire, and EMS were called to the scene in addition to the fire marshal and state medical examiner.
Crews extinguished the blaze in a few minutes.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
