Driver cited, 66-year-old Fall River man sent to RI Hospital after pedestrian crash with Fedex truck
A Fall River man has been sent to the hospital after being hit by a Fedex truck Friday afternoon.
According to Sergeant Moses Pereira, at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Officer Charles Souza responded to the intersection of Choate Street and Pleasant Street in response to an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Officer Souza determined that a commercial delivery truck, struck the pedestrian in the roadway as the operator was turning south onto Choate Street from Pleasant Street.
The pedestrian, a 66-year-old Fall River man, was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The operator of the delivery vehicle was issued a citation for failure to use care while turning.
The family of the victim has asked for video of the crash if anyone has one.
