Driver charged and 6 sent to the hospital in serious 7 car crash Friday
A serious multi-vehicle crash has caused multiple injuries.
According to Wrentham Police Chief Bill McGrath, shortly after 6:00 p.m. Friday evening, Wrentham Police & Fire responded to a seven car crash on Route 1.
McGrath stated that it appears the accident was caused by a northbound vehicle that crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle. That crash caused a chain reaction which involved five more vehicles.
The driver who initially crossed the center line was arrested at the scene for operating under the influence of liquor.
Six people were transported by six fire department rescues to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
