Domestic Violence Awareness Month brings Bristol County cell phone drive
Bristol County District Attorney’s office announces cell phone drive for domestic violence.
It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and one tangible way you can make a difference in the lives of domestic abuse victims is to participate in Bristol County District Attorney’s cell phone drive. Please search through your drawers and closets, and drop off old cell phones, chargers, batteries, and other accessories at your local police department or at any of the four offices in New Bedford, Attleboro, Taunton or Fall River.
All items collected will be sent to the Verizon Wireless HopeLine Project which supplies phones to victims of domestic violence with 3,000 free minutes and 9,000 free texts. Phones are distributed to victims locally through an existing partnership between your local police department, the HopeLine Project, and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
