Dog at Rhode Island pet rescue caught eating rat poison placed by suspect
A Rhode Island pet rescue is trying to process why someone would try and kill their pets.
Vintage Pet Rescue in Foster, RI, discovered Monday morning multiple, large pieces of rat poison on top of their fences.
“Obviously put there so they would fall into our yards where the dogs are.”
Unfortunately, one of the dogs, Bug, was caught eating a large piece of poison so he had to go to the vet immediately.
While the dog was rushed to the vet, volunteers began searching the yards for other pieces.
Bug will thankfully be ok but he will need medication for the next 3 weeks.
The rescue was understandably upset.
“I can’t put into words how upset we are over this. Who would do this to a senior dog rescue? We’re honestly blown away by this level of evil.”
The rescue has 2 outdoor cameras but unfortunately they only capture live feed. They were not set up to record and save videos. They are now though.
If anyone has information contacted Foster Police at (401) 397-3317.
