District Attorney’s Office releases identity of 39-year-old bicyclist killed in collision

The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and Stoughton Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a bicyclist and a car on Route 138 this morning, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said.

Just after 5:00 a.m. police responded to the area of 1378 Washington St. (Route 138) after receiving a 911 call reporting a bicyclist struck by a motor vehicle.

On arrival, police found the bicyclist, Mark Salvador, 39, of Stoughton, on the ground. He was transported by a Stoughton ambulance to a Boston hospital where he was pronounced deceased about an hour later.

The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the MSP Crime Scene Services Section, and Stoughton Police.

No other information was released.
