District Attorney releases identity of 31-year-old man who died of a suspected drowning

Officials have identified a man believed to have died due to a Massachusetts drowning.

According to the Plymouth County District Attorney, Brockton Police received a 911 call Monday morning for a report of a man floating in a pool at 54 Michael Drive. First responders observed a male deceased, and investigators observed no obvious signs of suspicious trauma.

Brockton Police contacted the MSP Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, to begin the investigation.

The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took custody and will determine the cause of death.

The male victim was identified as 31-year-old Louis-Mond Augustin.

The investigation is ongoing.
