District Attorney announces identity of 18-year-old who died after being found unresponsive at a Massachusetts pond
A teenaged male, who went missing while swimming at Houghton’s Pond in Milton Saturday has died and has also been identified, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said.
State police from the Milton barracks were called to the pond shortly after 7:00 p.m. The search for the missing swimmer was conducted by the MSP Underwater Recovery Team and Marine Unit and other area fire department assets.
The missing swimmer was later pronounced deceased at a Boston hospital. He is Kayron G. Costa, 18, of Quincy.
No further information was released, and the incident remains under investigation by the State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and MSP H-Troop Detectives.
