Dirt bike operator seriously injured after collision with vehicle in Fall River
The Fall River Police Department is investigating a crash that took place Saturday afternoon.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at just after 1:00 p.m., officers responded to Bay Village apartments in response to a collision between a motor vehicle and dirt bike. It appears that the operator of the dirt bike attempted to pass the motor vehicle on the left side when the vehicle began to make a left-hand turn into the housing complex. This resulted in the collision between the two.
The operator of the dirt bike was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. Pereira stated that his status is unknown at this time.
Crime Scene, Major Crimes and Accident Reconstruction Unit are all on scene assisting with the investigation.
