Diman Athletics has great week as athletes headed to national stage in New York City, cheer team headed to Pennsylvania nationals

FALL RIVER/SOMERSET/WESTPORT/SWANSEA, MA – It has been a good week for Diman Regional High School Athletics.

According to the school, for the first time ever, members of the Diman’s Track Team are heading to New York City to compete on the national stage at the Nike Indoor Nationals.

This Thursday, six standout athletes, Tiana Lei Acevedo, Finley Lyman, Emma Foley, Maxwell Desroches, Grace Flattery, and Danica Felizberto, will go head-to-head with the best high school athletes in the nation in hurdles and high jump.

While Diman seniors have qualified for New Balance and Adidas competitions before, Nike’s qualifying times are some of the toughest in the nation, making the achievement even more impressive.

On Monday, Diman announced that the school’s Cheer Team is headed to Nationals in Pennsylvania after a great showing in a Massachusetts competition.
