Details surrounding reported kidnapping victim found in Fall River remains a mystery

Mystery surrounds an incident that recently took place in Fall River.

Just after 5:00 p.m. on January 19th, there was a report of a man running into Northeast Alternatives in Fall River with his hands bound and bleeding from the face in a possible kidnapping. The man was transported to a local hospital.

Fal River Reporter contacted Fall River Police and Sergeant Moses Pereira stated that we would have to reach out to Portsmouth RI Police as the initial incident occurred in their jurisdiction.

We then reached out to Portsmouth Police on multiple occasions without receiving a response.

Reporter then filed a records request with the Portsmouth Police Department. The request was denied Monday on the grounds that disclosing the information could interfere with the investigation and would also be an invasion of personal privacy.
